Presentation Synopsis:

The current COVID-19 pandemic has altered the transaction landscape, however, key finance and accounting considerations to prepare for integrations, separations and bankruptcies remain relatively the same. 

In this session, we’ll provide an overview of what we’re seeing and hearing across acquisition, divestiture and bankruptcy activities.  Additionally, we’ll highlight key areas finance and accounting professionals should prepare and plan for as they embark on each of these transaction types.

Andy Jones Bio

Andy is the firm’s national practice leader for Finance Transformation, Process Optimization, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
In this capacity, Andy and his team develop and deploy solutions enabling firms to lower cost, improve quality, and transform the way they work. A lifelong collaborator and problem solver, Andy joined RGP and its Advisory team in January 2017, working between the company’s integrated solutions and client development teams to identify, develop, and deploy and client solutions.

Prior to RGP, Andy was Executive Vice President for a specialized global freight forwarder, at which time he developed and deployed network of disaster preparedness and relief efforts with the US Department of Health & Human Services, the CDC, the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. Andy served in a variety of roles in his 14 years at UPS, including Vice President, Government & Defense Sector. He served as UPS’ first Vice President of Strategy & Marketing for the company’s non-parcel / logistics business.

He was an adjunct faculty member at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina.



Vicky Fang Bio

Vicky is a M&A advisor with extensive deal experience advising C-Suite and company leaders on transactions ranging from a few million dollars to multi-billion dollars.

Her experience spans across the entire deal continuum including integration and divestiture management, M&A strategy and valuation, financial modeling, and financial and operational due diligence in both a corporate development role and as a client service provider.

Vicky has led program-wide and functional specific integration and separation engagements on both a national and global scale.  She has extensive experience driving deal issues and problems to resolution and has contributed in the development and execution of integration and separation strategies.

Prior to joining RGP, Vicky was a consultant with PwC’s M&A Advisory practice, worked in strategy and corporate development at Tyco Flow Control, and served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at TravelClick. Additionally, she was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and performed financial due diligence and audit at Ernst & Young.


Robert Jett Bio

Rob joined RGP in 2017 after 24 years with GE in engineering, commercial  operations, product management, and corporate development roles in their energy and oil & gas business units. During his 9 years in corporate development, he supported acquisition, divestiture and joint venture transactions globally, specifically, 71 transactions with pre-sign activities, and 36 transactions with post-sign activities ranging in value between $10MM and $3.3B, and one valued at $29B. 

His experience includes managing the due diligence process, leading integration/ separation diligence, preparing integration budgets, developing integration strategies, structuring integration teams, preparing and managing transition service agreements, employee lease agreements, and retention agreements, supporting preparation of purchase agreements, leading integration workshops and functional plan development, coaching of integration teams, and continuous improvement of integration frameworks through collection of lessons learned. 

He also supports clients through their bankruptcy proceedings with activities such as first day motions, bankruptcy reporting and claims management.
