As leaders in our companies and communities, we directly impact the experiences of others - employees, clients, and beyond - every day. In this session, we will discuss how to expand empathy and compassion by increasing each participant's ability to understand, appreciate and respond to the perspectives and emotions of others. We will review the barriers to empathy, and explore specific strategies for responding to others in an empathetic way.

Mandy has over 13 years of experience in auditing and accounting, and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Arkansas and Oklahoma, a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.
Mandy was a member of the AICPA Leadership Academy Class of 2012, and has taught a number of training classes at professional conferences, including the AICPA EDGE Conference. She especially enjoys coaching and mentoring others in their professional careers.
Mandy is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, but now calls Northwest Arkansas home. Outside of the office, Mandy spends her time with her husband, Colin, and their two young children.
